Slow Food Avoyelles presents the: 

GEAUX LOCAL!

Every Saturday morning in June from 8 - 11 am on the Historic Courthouse Square.

This will be our 6th season, and we have grown every year.  As in the past, we will have free coffee, kids activities, live entertainment, along with the best, freshest, local produce & fruit around! Vendors will also be selling jams, honey, flowers, herbs, breads, sweets, goat cheese, fresh smoothies, hand-made soaps, crafts, jewelry, etc.

We also try to incorporate lots of fun!

The Marksville Farmers' Market was created in 2007 by a group of dedicated volunteers & dreamers.  We hoped an exciting, social event could serve a higher purpose... supporting our local farmers and food artisans!

Slow Food Avoyelles is a part of an international organization - Slow Food.  This encompasses diverse groups of people, such as teachers, artists, attorneys, home gardeners, doctors, chefs, & students.  Anyone can join !
